Ultrasonic Inspection (UT) is one of the most non-destructive-testing used. The main application is the detection and characterization of internal discontinuities, such as cracks, rolling defects, shrinkage cavity, gas pores, slag inclusions, lack of fusion, among others. It is also used to identify superficial discontinuities, to define union characteristics between surfaces or to measure material thickness.
UT technique is based in the introduction of high frequency wave beams into the material to detect discontinuities. UT waves travel through the material with some loss of energy (attenuation) and they are reflected on interface surfaces. Reflected waves are represented and analysed to define the presence, location and dimension of material discontinuities
Sistema de medición láser el equipo para barrido de piezas y estructuras mediante barrido óptico para generación de sistema virtual 3D y posterior tratamiento informático, para identificación de las diferentes cotas. El sistema presenta una mejora frente a procesos de medidas convencional, en la corrección de errores de posicionamiento, además de rapidez y versatilidad en el proceso de medida, y mejora de las condiciones de seguridad laboral en proceso de medida de piezas industriales.
